Christine Rubie-Davies is Professor of Education at University of Auckland and Professor of Expectations at Academica University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands. She researches how the beliefs and practices of high expectation teachers increase student achievement and positively affect student psychosocial outcomes. Christine also studies teacher expectation effects for disadvantaged groups. She has been researching teacher expectations for two decades and is the world leader on high expectation teaching. Christine is a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit and a Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand, the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science.
