Ligita Miele

Speaker Summary

Ligita Miele has been an integral part of the American School of Warsaw community since 2004, serving as the overseer of the Service Learning program for Pre-K to 12 students.

Born and raised in Lithuania, she moved to Poland in 1994 to attend the Cardinal Wyszyński University in Warsaw, where she earned degrees in clinical psychology, teaching pedagogy, Human Resources, and Public Relations. In her role as a CAS Coordinator, Ligita has worked closely with the PTO for many years, supporting a wide range of projects and initiatives. Through her dedication and hard work, she has been able to coach and support teachers in integrating Service into their curriculum, and her leadership has been recognized through the school’s Service Learning program receiving the CEESA Service Award for three consecutive years.

Her family is also closely connected to the school; her husband is a long-term teacher at ASW and her son is currently a 12th-grade student at the school.
