Professor Alice Jones Bartoli

Alice Jones Bartoli is a Professor of Psychology and Education at Goldsmiths, University of London and New York University London. Alice directs the Unit for School and Family Studies, and focuses research on students at risk of social and academic exclusion. Her work brings together education, neuroscience and mental health, and works from early years through to higher education. She is passionate about building the skills and capabilities in children and young people that will allow them to be successful in their education, but also in their lives beyond the classroom.

Alice is part of the National Forum for Neuroscience and Special Education, and has previously spent time as part of a policy group making recommendations to MPs about the skills gap between school and work. She was also the Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Educational Psychology between 2016 and 2022.
