Naz has been in education for over 15 years working as a Deputy Principal, educator, creative arts specialist and student wellbeing advocate in a primary school setting focusing on; strategic management, restorative practices, positive behaviour, learning and daily operations management. Naz has a BBus (Tourism & Hosp), GradDipEd, and recently completed her Masters in Education (Leadership & Management).

Her keen interest in future focused pedagogies that focuses on change management, student well-being and innovation has led her into research in the area of Mindfulness and student well-being and how this could be applied to the future era of AI in education. Naz has a passion for student-centred learning that focuses on celebrating diversity and relationship-building.

She is currently working on her research-based journal publication with Dr Shelley Hannigan (Deakin University) called Mindfulness in the AI era- Reimagined.
