Brent Maddin

Speaker Summary

Brent Maddin is the Executive Director of ASU’s Next Education Workforce™initiative. He leads a team that collaborates with P–12 schools to design staffing models in which teams of educators with distributed expertise are able to deliver deeper and personalized learning to all students. Brent earned a doctorate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, served as a founding staff member at IDEA College Prep, and was a National Board Certified Teacher in secondary science. He is the author, with Carole G. Basile and R. Lennon Audrain, of “The Next Education Workforce: How Team-Based Staffing Models Can Support Equity and Improve Learning Outcomes.”
