Session Description

Despite many leaders appearing to do little or nothing towards making their organisations more inclusive spaces, there is some evidence that some (school) leaders are in fact taking steps to make their organisations more inclusive spaces. This is important in an age of anti-racism and social justice. This presentation will present evidence of five schools and school leaders who worked, across two and half years, to improve conditions for staff and students. The impact of their interventions/ effort, and their actions will be examined through the lens of courageous leadership. It is hoped this presentation will give leaders in any organisation type and at all levels, the confidence to engage with anti-racism and social justice leadership in meaningful ways.
