Session Description

While 1 in 3 mental health problems in adulthood are directly connected to an adverse childhood experience. The pandemic further exacerbated children’s mental health crisis with data showing rises in youth unhappiness and anxiety. Amidst alarming statistics, schools can play a pivotal role as the first line of defence to children’s mental health crises.

This session with Dr Cheng explores how educators/teachers can create empathetic and inclusive environments for children by reducing stigma and promoting open dialogue about emotions.
