The session describes ‘WoLLoW’, a new and innovative programme, devised by experienced UK teachers for pupils who are starting on their language journeys. The programme aims not to teach one language, but to encourage a shared journey of exploration into how languages work, how they are related to each other, how they have developed through history, how they are related to so many other subjects and key global issues. Thereby it can build on and celebrate the growing multilingualism in classrooms around the world.
