Session Description

Mistakes are not to be feared but celebrated as valuable learning opportunities. In this session, we will delve into practical strategies that cultivate a classroom culture where mistakes are embraced, promoting resilience, courage, and a willingness to think differently and be more creative.
Inspired by the wisdom of Dr. Amy L. Eva, who remarked, “If we embrace and even study errors in our classrooms, students may learn more,” we will delve into the significance of visible thinking strategies. These strategies promote deep understanding, metacognition, and critical thinking skills, empowering students to reflect on their mistakes, analyze their thinking processes, and make meaningful connections to their learning.
Throughout the session, I will also address how to provide constructive feedback that guides students’ learning journeys and empowers them to take ownership of their mistakes.
