My proposal is a session where I explain the importance of linking content throughout the year to build on our students’ previous knowledge while presenting new content on other subjects. I will give examples and ideas of how my students have acquired specific vocabulary and concepts in different ways throughout the year. I will also give examples of how to use different techniques such as visual thinking routines and reflection to help young learners develop a deeper understanding of what they have learned, how they have learned it and why it’s meaningful to them in their lives.
