  • - Understand the value of physical development and the legacy it has on sensory systems, such as vestibular, proprioception and interoception.

Session Description

We know pupils enter settings with considerable deficits in language development. The purpose of this session is to provide leaders with a research-informed, accessible language framework that can be used at the point of provision and as an evaluation tool. Understand more about how this language development framework enables early years practitioners to effectively lead high-quality, structured conversations that sustain shared thinking. Alex will also share the most current understanding about the maturation of sensory systems, and the importance of physical development to focus attention and cognition.

On-entry language development of young learners is well documented to be a significant challenge for settings. Alex and Julie explain how this evidence-informed framework can be used as a shared language of excellence at the point of provision.
