Session Description

In this podcast I interview recently retired headteacher, Maxine Pittaway MBE . She tells us how schools can use the Young Enterprise Scheme, which is a UK based charity, to offer employment opportunities to all students whether neurotypical or neurodiverse.
She built up a wide network of schools and work experience placements for the students in her special school.
She realised that students needed practice in school as well as going on work experience. She monitored the effectiveness of the opportunities of work experience that we were giving neurodiverse students and found a flaw. Listen to the podcast to see how she changed the lives of students in her school.
