Session Description

The pandemic of educator burnout existed long before the pandemic of COVID-19, with more educators leaving the profession now more than ever. In an age where self-care has become a consumerist industry and “toxic positivity” runs rampant, what can we do to support our educators who are not renewable resources? This session explores why supporting educator well-being is a best practice to support student social-emotional learning and academic achievement, and as a mechanism to promote equity. Participants will engage in an experiential learning opportunity to learn how to both claim and sustain joy.
