Session Description
You’ve been hired as an instructional coach, now what? This session is designed for new instructional coaches and those who supervise them, who want clarity around the coach’s role. In this session, participants will learn the true role of an instructional coach and the skills needed to become an effective coach. Participants will discover how principles of andragogy and light coaching can be used to create partnerships with teachers and explore strategies to leverage those partnerships, to be seen as coaches and not evaluators. Participants will leave with practical strategies they can immediately apply in their roles.
