In the workshop, we will engage educators to learn about how storytelling immerses students in relevant social and environmental issues, inspiring them to investigate issues they want to tackle. The workshop is designed to share ways for teachers to connect students to global issues, empathize and even take informed action. Participants will be real explorers, going through an interactive video adventure to visit our partner community in the Philippines, take field notes and analyze the issue through the Sustainability compass tool and/or Iceberg model. We want to engage the participants in our creative process and will finish the session with a conversation about how useful & effective this approach is in teaching systems thinking.
