Tyrone Howard is one of the USA’s premier experts on educational transformation, equity, and access. A best-selling author, an award-winning champion of vulnerable learners and one of the 60 most influential scholars in the nation as named by Education Week, Tyrone has a stellar track record of implementing whole child, whole community approaches to school improvement. A professor at the Graduate School of Education and the Director and Founder of the Black Male Institute at UCLA, Tyrone is dedicated to examining the nexus of race, class, and gender of students in order to improve outcomes for children around the world.
