Pak Tee NG entered the world of education as a Mathematics teacher after a successful scholarship at the University of Cambridge. He is currently an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, where he previously served as the Associate Dean of Leadership Learning and as the Head of the Policy and Leadership Studies Academic Group. Pak Tee has written more than 100 publications on education. He sits on the editorial board of more than ten international journals and currently serves as the Executive Editor of Educational Research for Policy and Practice, the official journal of the Asia-Pacific Educational Research Association. His best-selling book “Learning from Singapore: The Power Of Paradoxes” was written in tandem with his co-editing of the Routledge Leading Change book series. He is currently a sitting member of Scotland’s International Council of Education Advisers, bringing his considerable worldly experience to the advantage of schools across the country. Among the many ways Pak Tee has been recognised for his outstanding work include being awarded Singapore’s National Day Award of Public Administration for his merit and service to education, as well as several teaching award, and the conferring of a Fellowship at the NTU Teaching Excellency Academy. To this day, he strongly insists that his greatest reward is the privilege of working with his students and their acts of paying his work forward through positive change to the world of education.
