Professor Barry Carpenter OBE is an acclaimed author and the UK’s leading expert on mental health and special needs provisions in education. Recently appointed to the UK’s first ever professorship in Mental Health in Education, Barry has spent the better part of the last ten years overseeing a national project developing training for teachers of children with complex learning disabilities. Recognized and awarded for his passionate and brilliant contributions to special needs education by the Queen, Barry now travels the world sharing his unique, practical, and proven expertise on the field.
