Diana’s route to the very forefront of education has not been a straightforward one, from struggling through A-level results and getting into university via clearing, to headteacher at the age of 39, to internationally celebrated leadership expert. Her success is due to the same mantra that she seeks to develop in all who train with her. In her own words: ‘I am the result of great expectations’.
With a diploma in Biomedical Sciences form the University of Wolverhampton, and a PGCE in Secondary Education from the University of Roehampton, Diana began teaching at the age of 24. 4 years later, she was made deputy head of her school, due to her innate drive to improve attainment across her whole school.
In 2010, Diana took on the role of Head Teacher at the Arts & Media School Islington, where she successfully led the school for 6 years. During this time, she also worked as a Secondary School Inspector, ensuring that schools up and down the country were providing the best learning environments possible for their students. She graduated from the Institute of Education (UCL) with a master’s degree in school effectiveness and school improvement in 2013.
