Belinda works as a Deputy Headteacher at a primary school in Salisbury, having taught across the primary phase for over 20 years.  Throughout her career she has worked in as an English Advisor for the Local Authority, a Lead Teacher and an external Y6 writing moderator.  Her work in raising standards in reading and writing led her to mentor teachers and lead CPD across schools and Multi Academy Trusts.

She recently stepped away from full time class responsibility to take on a school improvement role across 14 schools in Plymouth and Bournemouth where she specialised in leading good practice in teaching and learning – applying her skills as a Visible Learning Impact Coach – improving the quality of education in reading and coaching subject leaders to develop their leadership skills.

Belinda now combines her work as a Deputy Headteacher with school improvement work across the UK and she is motivated by seeing teachers and pupils become empowered to continue their self-improvement journey following her support. Her areas of expertise include:
