Andrew Martin is Scientia Professor, Professor of Educational Psychology, and Co-Chair of the Educational Psychology Research Group in the School of Education at the University of New South Wales, Australia. He specialises in motivation, engagement, achievement and quantitative research methods. Andrew is widely published, holds several honorary research positions and is a registered psychologist. He is renowned for his research into achievement motivation and for his studies of applied phenomena. His research focuses on motivation, engagement and achievement, but Andrew has also published in other areas, including Aboriginal/Indigenous education, academic resilience, adaptability, goal setting, pedagogy, and teacher–student relationships.
